Original Zeke Williams Friendship and Song Club membership card from 1945. Pictured are country music artists Zeke and Joan Williams.

A native of Dundee, Texas, Zeke Williams (1911-?) began his country music career at age 16 on a radio station at Chickasha, Oklahoma. Zeke subsequently headed a band called the Rambling Cowboys, recording on the Brunswick label. He later could be heard over the airwaves on radio stations KMA (Shenandoah, Iowa) and WMMN (Fairmont, Virginia). Zeke's wife Joan and their daughter Virginia Lee became the Goodwill Trio, performing on KMA on weekday afternoons.

Thick stock card measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and is in unused near mint condition.

This item comes directly from the estate of Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985), noted songwriter, author, bandleader, record producer, sheet music publisher, psychic, radio personality, silent movie theater organist, world champion pen pal, inveterate collector and Hollywood/music fan club pioneer.
