Authentically autographed photo from famed radio announcer Tony Marvin (1912-1998). It dates from the 1950s.
Marvin landed his first radio job at WNYC in New York City. He served as announcer for such popular radio shows as Arthur Godfrey Time, Arthur Godfrey's Talent Scouts, Casey - Crime Photographer, The Sparrow and the Hawk, Columbia Workshop, This Life Is Mine, Major Bowes Amateur Hour, Radie Harris, Winner Take All, Stage Door Canteen, et al. Marvin was also the first Tony the Tiger for Kellogg's Frosted Flakes cereal, served as the official "voice" of the 1939 New York World's Fair and later worked in television.
Official Moss Photo, N.Y. thick stock glossy photo measures 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches. It is boldly signed in blue ink: "Sincerely Tony Marvin." No doubt as to authenticity and provenance.
