This biography booklet and photo card relate to American pianist, actor and entertainer Liberace (1919-1987). They date from 1961.
A child prodigy, Liberace's career spanned four decades and included concerts, recordings, films and television. He was known for his flashy costumes and trademark candelabra which adorned his pianos. His film credits include South Sea Sinner (1950), Merry Mirthquakes (1953), Sincerely Yours (1955), The Loved One (1965), et al. His TV credits include The Jack Benny Program, Date with the Angels, Batman, The Red Skelton Hour, Here's Lucy, Kojak, et al. His own syndicated TV series ran in the 1950s and The Liberace Show ran in 1969.

This item comes directly from the estate of Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985), noted songwriter, author, bandleader, record producer, sheet music publisher, psychic, radio personality, silent movie theater organist, world champion pen pal, inveterate collector and Hollywood/music fan club pioneer. Mr. Mank was an authorized Liberace piano instructor and very active in Liberace fan clubs.
