This original 8x10 full color photo comes from noted American pianist, actor and entertainer Liberace (1919-1987). It dates from 1968.
A child prodigy, Liberace's career spanned four decades and included concerts, recordings, films and television. He was known for his flashy costumes and trademark candelabra which adorned his pianos. His film credits include South Sea Sinner (1950), Merry Mirthquakes (1953), Sincerely Yours (1955), The Loved One (1965), et al. His TV credits include The Jack Benny Program, Date with the Angels, Batman, The Red Skelton Hour, Here's Lucy, Kojak, et al. His own The Liberace Show ran in 1969.
Thicker stock photo features Liberace in red sequin tuxedo jacket. It's marked on back: "Litho by Post Card Co. of Los Angeles - Bob Plunkett, R.S."

Get the original photo! These were sent to Mr. Mank in 1968 by Liberace's International Artists Ltd. of Los Angeles. Mr. Mank did a lot of work for Liberace's fan clubs, hence this small horde of photos.
This item comes directly from the estate of Charles "Chaw" Mank Jr. (1902-1985), noted songwriter, author, bandleader, record producer, sheet music publisher, psychic, radio personality, silent movie theater organist, world champion pen pal, inveterate collector and Hollywood/music fan club pioneer.
